Voidcharter is an experimental, in-development game project. This page runs entirely in your browser — no account, no sign-up, no payment. Nothing you type is transmitted or sent to any server. The game does save one small flag to your browser's local storage — whether you've successfully launched the ship before, so the ship's AI can offer to repeat the procedure next time — and that stays on your device; it's never sent anywhere. Cloudflare, as host, keeps standard access logs (IP, timestamp, request path) as it does for any site on its network.
If that changes as the project grows — accounts, saved progress, or AI features that call an external model — this page will be updated to say so plainly before it happens.

The newsletter form at /newsletter/ is the one place this site collects anything, and it is the exception to any line on this page that says the site collects nothing. If you use it, I store your email address, which site you signed up on, the time, the wording of the consent you saw, your country, your IP address and your browser type. That record lives in a database at Cloudflare. I keep it because Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) means I have to be able to show that you asked to hear from me. To check that you're a person, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs a short check in your browser. I use your address only to send this site's newsletter, and I don't sell it or share it. Every message will have an unsubscribe link, and you can ask me at hello@voidcharter.com to delete your address and the record at any time.
I use Google Search Console to see how this site shows up in Google search, such as which searches bring people here and which pages appear. It reports on search results, not on what you do on the site, and it doesn't place anything in your browser.
